 Teledyne Benthos Chirp III acoustic profiler system is a fully integrated dual channel, dual frequency and at the same time using Chirp and conventionalconnection wave (CW) sonar system technology to generate high resolution shallow water and deep water and shallow stratum profile. The system adopts modular design, It can be used with all kinds of different fish and hull mounted transducer array. In addition, The system can process and display data from a non Chirp sound source in one channel.

Similar to other shallow anatomy instrument work principle, ChirpIII profiler system is mainly through the transducer,  controls the signal into sound waves of different frequency pulse conversion,andput it to the underwater launch. The  waves meet sedimentary and strata layered acoustic impedance interface etc in the process of communication, reflected back  transducer,and transmitted to the DSP transceiver. And then converted to analog or digital signal and recorded by the Acquisition computer At the same time, Finally,the profile can reflect the formation of acoustic characteristics is outputed.

Chirp III system is a seismic profile system from shallow to deep water can be used, Application:

Measurement of offshore danger zone

Oil and gas pipelines and small target detection

Pier protection and environmental monitoring

The main components of Chirp III system:

1, DSP 665 receiver / transmitter

2, Transducer array

 

3, PC workstation, with data acquisition, processing and display software SonarWiz.MAP

System features:

1, small size, simple operation, convenient installation and disassembly;

2, the transceiver is independent of the Sonarwiz.MAP workstation, which is convenient for future maintenance and upgrading of the transceiver station;

3, the ChirpIII system based on 2-7KHZ;

4, ChirpIII transceiver uses Ethernet output data, to ensure the safety of high speed data output;

 

5, Using the Chirp signal processing technology, so as to ensure a better resolution and penetration depth data
