China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is developing the Pingbei and Huangyan Oil and Gas Fields (PBHY Fields). PBHY Fields are located some 425 kilometers southeast of Shanghai in the East China Sea. Water depth within the oil and gas fields range between 81.8 and 100.0 metre.

China Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC) is contracted by CNOOC as the EPIC Contractor for PBHY Oil and Gas Fields Development Project.  Phase I of the EPIC project includes the installation of  six (6) pipelines. They are:
A.   Pingbei Phase I Subsea Pipelines EPIC:
Ø  A 17.6km 8” subsea pipeline from TJT WHPA to BYT WHPA;
Ø  A 40.9km 14” subsea pipeline from BYT to HY1-1 CEP;
Ø  A 18.1km 8”/2” subsea bundle pipelines from SX36-5 to HY1-1 CEP.
B.   Huangyan Phase II Subsea Pipelines EPIC: 
Ø  A 50.6km 22” subsea pipeline from HY1-1 CEP  to CHX CEP;
Ø  A 20.4km 12” subsea pipeline from HY1-1 CEP to PH SDPP; and
Ø  A 19.0km 10” subsea pipeline from HY2-1 to HY1-1 CEP.




The scope of services of CTHME for the PBHY Phase I Field Development Project includes but not limited to the following:
Ø Provision of surface positioning, navigation and survey supports for the DP Pipelay Vessel HYSY 201. The system must be inclusive of all software, back-up equipment and consumables as necessary for 24-hours operations;
Ø  Provision of surface and subsea positioning, navigation and survey supports for the DP DSV and ROVs. The system must be inclusive of all software, back-up equipment and consumables as necessary for 24-hours operations;
Ø  Provision of surface positioning and navigation for the AHT. The system must be inclusive of all software, back-up equipment and consumables as necessary for 24-hours operations;
Ø  Compilation and submission of positioning and survey procedures for review and approval for project execution;
Ø  To perform positioning and survey system integrity checks and/or calibrations prior to the commencement of the project, and as and when required during the execution of the project;
Ø  Compilation and submission of Field Positioning and/or Survey Report, Pipeline Tally Sheets, and Daily Survey Operation Reports;
Ø   Compilation and issuance of Final Positioning and Survey Report with Pipeline Tally Sheets and Pipeline Alignment Charts.
